Beverly R. Schroeder, 84, formerly of Franklin and Redwood Falls, MN, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Pleasant Manor in Faribault, MN. Beverly was born December 6, 1936 in Appleton, MN to Lester and Ruth (Swensen) Smith. She was a graduate of Morton High School. On September 14, 1956, Beverly married John "Bruce" Schroeder in Fort Dodge, IA. Beverly enjoyed sewing quilts and playing bridge with her friends. She loved cooking, canning and baking for her family. Beverly was a member of Civic Club, sang with her church choir and taught Sunday school along with being active in the church ladies auxiliary. Beverly always kept up with current news, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a passion for connecting with others, being a great communicator and she enjoyed being social and entertaining others at her home. After leaving Franklin in the mid-80s, Bruce and Bev lived many different places managing mini-storage facilities before retiring in Lonsdale, and then Redwood Falls. Beverly is survived by her children, Joe (Laurie) Schroeder of Buffalo, MN, Michael (Jennifer) Schroeder of Andover, MN, Barbara (Ken) Palmer of Rochester, Douglas (Lori) Schroeder of Belview, MN, Kathleen (Bret) Baumbach of Rochester, MN; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Mickey) Smith and Gary (Nancy) Smith; brother-in-law Lloyd Schultz; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; parents; one sister; one niece and one nephew. A memorial service celebrating Beverly's life will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Due to Covid-19, masks will be required and social distancing observed. The service will be livestreamed on the Ranfranz and Vine Facebook page.
