Beverly A. Johnson, 85 of Eagan, MN formerly of Rochester, MN passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 at her home at Eagan Pointe Senior Living. Beverly Ann Lange was born October 5, 1933 to William and Ethel (Martenson) Lange in Long Prairie, MN. She grew up in Long Prairie and graduated from Long Prairie High School in 1951. On August 30, 1952 she married Clarence Johnson in Long Prairie. In 1956 the couple moved to Lanesboro, MN. She worked at Lanesboro Sales Commission and worked with her husband at his TV Sales & Service business. She later worked at KFIL Radio as a copy writer in Preston, MN. Clarence passed away in 1993 and Beverly moved to Rochester, MN in 2003. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lanesboro. During her many years in Lanesboro, she was involved in various community organizations; including Legion Auxiliary, Buffalo Bill Days, Fillmore County American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, and Lanesboro Golf Course. While in Rochester she was a volunteer with Mayo Hospice, which she found to be very fulfilling. She enjoyed concerts, plays, playing checkers with grandchildren, shopping and most of all she loved spending time with her family. Beverly is survived by her daughter Barb (David) Goodell of Eagan, MN; five grandchildren; Rachel Johnson (Brandon La Sell) of St. Anthony, MN; Adam (Samantha) Johnson of Eau Claire, WI; Lauren Goodell of St. Louis Park, MN; Aaron (Claire Simonson) of Denver, CO; and Lindsey Goodell of Eagan, MN. She is also survived by one very special great-granddaughter, Emma Christine Johnson of Eau Claire, WI. One brother, Florian Lange of Deerwood, MN also survives her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence, and son, Craig in 2001. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Bethel Lutheran Church (810 3rd Avenue SE Rochester, MN) with the Reverend Dr. Norman W. Wahl officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday (10:00 AM). Burial will take place at Lanesboro Cemetery.
