Betty Starkson

Betty Kay Starkson, 76 of Rochester, MN died on Thursday June 13, 2024, at Mayo Clinic, Methodist Hospital Campus, Rochester, Minnesota.

Betty was born to Charles and Dorthea Fritz in Endicott, New York on February 15, 1948. She graduated in San Jose, California in 1966 and returned to Rochester to marry James A. Starkson, her husband of 56 years.

Betty is survived by her husband James, children Cindy Starkson of San Anselmo, CA and Peter (Jeanne) Starkson of Plainview, MN, and Kim Pyle of Maricopa, AZ; six grandchildren Erik (Emma) Gusa, Emilee (Mike) Bedtke, Kali Starkson, Jaden Pyle, Jenna Pyle, and Janie Pyle; two great grandchildren Chase and Karlie. She is also survived by three sisters, Barbara (Bill) Fisher of Placerville, CA, Beverly Bantley of Faribault, and Brenda Walker of Cooper, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private family service will be held at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home. Betty's only request was for family and friends to offer simple acts of kindness throughout the day. May she rest in peace.
