Betty L. Moon

Betty Lorraine Moon, age 90 of Rochester passed away Tuesday afternoon July 30, 2019 at Cottagewood Senior Community. She was born on July 1, 1929 in Austin, MN, the daughter of the late Rolland and Lizzie Josephine Riehl Moon. Betty was the proud graduate of Mankato Cosmetology. She was a member of Zumbro Lutheran Church and a beautician for over 50 years. She enjoyed traveling and more than anything spending time with her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Betty is survived by two nieces and two nephews, Nancy Moon Meyer (Warren) of Rochester, Jim (Cindy) Moon of Palisades, MN, Brenda Moon of Zumbrota and Dennis (Robin) Moon of Grand Rapids, MN, several great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. She also leaves many family members and friends who will sadly miss her. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Robert Moon and a sister-in-law, Naomi Borgschatz Moon, all of Rochester. A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial of her cremated remains will be at the Grand Meadow Cemetery in Grand Meadow. Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes is honored to be serving the Moon family.
