Betty Jane Stensrud

ROCHESTER: MINN, Betty J. Stensrud, 86, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Sunrise Cottages. Betty was born October 13, 1926 in Rochester to Henry and Melinda (Schroeder) Geerdes. On January 11, 1958, Betty married Clark Stensrud in Las Vegas. Betty worked in the shipyards in Washington during WWII. She enjoyed watching tv, interior decorating and working on crafts. Betty was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Betty is survived by her sister, Bernita Haines and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clark; parents, Henry and Melinda and brother, Daryl Geerdes. A funeral service will be held 10:30am Monday, December 24, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 9:30am until time of service. Rev. William Otte will be officiating with interment at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
