Berneice I. Grimm

Berneice I. Grimm, age 87, of Rochester, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Season's Hospice House in Rochester. Berneice was born February 17, 1933 in Roscoe, Minnesota, the daughter of Elmer and Clara (Dahl) Flaaen. She was a 1951 graduate of Wanamingo High School. Berneice was united in marriage to Norman Grimm on July 1, 1953 at Lands Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, MN. She worked for Mayo, Rochester Chamber of Commerce and Rochester YMCA. She worked many years for Crenlo and over twenty years for the Department of Natural Resources. Berneice and Norman loved camping and were members of the Rochester Roamers Camping club. They also enjoyed traveling to Europe, Alaska, Norway and wintered in Eustice, FL. She loved flowers, bird watching, especially cardinals and crafts, enjoyed their hobby farm and playing board games. Berneice was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by her children, Nancy (Rick Stori) Fritsch of Rochester, MN and Jodine "Jody" Grimm of Adams, MN; grandchildren, Chris (Laura) Fritsch of Rochester, Sarah Malecha of Zumbrota, MN, Ben (Michelle) Stori of Spring Lake Park, MN, Brandon (Casey) Stori of St. Clair, MN; great-grandchildren, Landon, Allie, Madison, Grayson, Mason, Carson, Lincoln, Camden, Braylon and Baylor; siblings, Phillip (Marlene) Flaaen of Wanamingo; sisters-in-law, Verleine Grimm and Audrey Grimm both of Rochester, MN. Berneice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; son, Brian; siblings, Evelyn Fredrickson and Ernest Flaaen; brothers-in-law, Willard Grimm and Richard Grimm. A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Grandview Memorial Gardens, 1300 Marion Road SE, Rochester, Minnesota with Pastor Nathaniel Schwartz officiating.
