Bernard James Arnold, Sr.

A funeral service for Bernard J. Arnold Sr., 77, of Rochester, MN will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.Visitation will be from 5:00 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Burial of his cremated remains will be at Ft. Snelling Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Bernard James Arnold Sr. was born on July 28, 1936 in Natural Bridge, NY to William and Mildred (Hunkerford) Arnold.He passed away on February 7, 2014 at Charter House with his wife and children by his side. Bernard graduated from Natural Bridge Union High School.He served in the Army during Vietman War and later retired after serving 24 years in the United States Air Force.He married Emily Carreon on April 3, 1986. They moved to Kasson, MN in 1987 where he worked for IBM and later retired to Rochester in 2003. Survivors include his wife, Emily of Rochester, MN; his brother-in-law, Edel Carreon of Rochester, MN;his children, Bernard Arnold Jr. of Rochester, MN, William (Claudia) Arnold of Fort Bragg, NC, Jay Arnold of Rochester, MN and Maria (Travis) Wagenmann of Fruitland, ID; his two dogs, Chiquita and Percilla; five grandchildren and three sisters, Rosanna (James) Neddo of Croghan, NY, Ilene Arnold of Carthage, NY and Alice (Gordon) Campany of Denmark, NY.He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Wilfred, Myron and Stephen.
