Barbara L. Capelle

Mrs. Barbara Capelle, age 70, of Rochester, MN passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Saint Marys Hospital. Barbara Lee Mayhew was born July 6, 1946 in Rochester, MN. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1964. She worked at the Crossroads License Bureau for 26 years. She retired August 5, 2005 due to health problems. In 1965 she married Al Bierly, they later divorced. On March 4, 1977, she married Michael C. Capelle. Barbara enjoyed spending time with family, loved her cats and enjoyed her slot machines. She had a very good sense of humor and enjoyed laughter. Barbara is survived by her husband, Michael; two sons, Todd (Heather) Bierly, Troy (Kathy) Bierly; two grandchildren, Rob and Danni Bierly; one great grandchild, Rylan Bierly; her step-father, Dr. Marc Shampo; two brothers, Chuck (Marlene) Mayhew and Scott (Kathy) Mayhew; a step sister, Theresa (Lonnie) Nelson; and a brother-in-law, Bert Kyek. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Mayhew; her mother, Lila Shampo and her sister, Nancy Kyek. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will take place from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, MN. Memorials are preferred to the Gift of Life Transplant House.
