Barbara A. Russell

Barbara A. Russell, age 48, of Rochester, MN, died of natural causes on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at her home in Rochester, MN. A memorial service will be at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place, NW, Rochester. The visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial services in Maine and Alabama will be held a later date. Barbara Ann Russell was born on August 28, 1968, in Pozzuoli, Naples, Italy and was raised by her mother Linda (Hall) and Phillip Carll. She graduated from Sanford High School in 1986. On April 26, 1988, she entered into the United States Navy and was stationed in Winter Harbor, ME. On September 16, 1994, she was honorably discharged. Barbara met her husband, Keith Perry in the Navy and they had two children, Joshua and Stephanie. They were later divorced. In 2008, Barbara moved to Dexter, MN, and then to Rochester, MN. Barbara continued her education and graduated with her business degree from Winona State University in 2012. She worked at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester where she was currently employed. Barbara lived for her children and grandchildren. Staying connected to her family, especially her children and her brothers was very important to her. Barbara is survived by her children, Joshua (Jessica) Perry of Jackson, AL and Stephanie (fianc Nathan Arnold) Perry of Kasson, MN; granddaughters, Aryanna Arnold and Addison Perry; mother, Linda Allen of Las Cruces, NM; father, Phillip (Jackie) Carll of Alfred, ME; brothers, Wayne (Sharon) Russell of Old Orchard Beach, ME and Robert Boyd of Sanford, ME; several nieces and nephews; also her beloved dog, Cocoa.
