Audrey L. Taylor, 92, of Rochester, Minnesota went home to be with her Savior on March 12, 2021. Audrey was a resident of Madonna Towers, where she resided with her beloved husband of 73 years, Charles E. Taylor. Audrey was born on February 20, 1929 to Benjamin and Lucille Clark in Fleetville, Pennsylvania. She graduated Salutatorian from Benton High School, where she enjoyed playing the baritone, was a cheerleader, and sang in many operettas. She met Charles at a Scott Township basketball game and won him over with her famous homemade spaghetti. They were married on September 13, 1947. Audrey was the faithful and dedicated mother to five children who were blessed with her creative talents. She was a marvelous cook, excellent seamstress, and a wellspring of creativity. She was famous for her tastefully decorated Christmas trees that filled her family's holidays with joy. She was also a talented writer who used her gifts to encourage others. She was a member of Salem Road Covenant Church. She loved the Lord. For many years she sang in the church choir and volunteered in many capacities. She had a heart for people in need which led her to advocate for the mentally ill. Audrey is survived by her husband, Charles; son, Richard Taylor (Joanne) of Ocala, FL; son, John Taylor of Rochester, MN; daughter, Laura Larson (Eric) of Oak Park, IL; and son, Phillip Taylor (Jennifer) of Rochester, MN. Audrey was blessed with 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister, Lois Brown of Fort Pierce, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Jane Anderson and Verna Covey; and son, Charles Taylor. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Madonna Towers skilled nursing and Seasons Hospice for their compassionate care and support. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Pastor Rollie Mossberg will be officiating with inurnment at Oakwood Cemetery, at a later date.
