Funeral services for Arlene M. Grant, 70, of Kasson, MN, will be at 11:00am on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.Burial will be at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery in Rochester.Visitation will be from 4:00 6:00pm on Sunday, July 28 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Arlene Marie Distad was born on December 1, 1942 in rural Olmsted County to George and Gladys (Watson) Distad.She died on July 25, 2013 at her home. Arlene attended Byron High School and married Donald D. Grant on April 23, 1960 in Kasson, MN.The couple made their home in Kasson.Arlene enjoyed going to casinos and keeping track of everyone on Facebook.She enjoyed watching sports, especially Vikings football games. Survivors include seven sons, Duane Grant, Ronald Grant, Gary (Lorie) Grant and Kenneth Grant all of Kasson, Randy (Peggy) Grant, Jeffrey Grant and Brian (Maria) Grant, all of Dodge Center; a daughter, Dawn Coughlin of Byron; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; four brothers, Melvin Distad of Ft. Myers, FL, Gene (Mary) Distad of Vidor, TX, Dennis (Kathy) Distad of Kasson, MN and Ricky Distad of Rochester, MN and one sister, June Thompson of Kasson, MN.She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse and one grandson.
