Arleigh A. Benike

Arleigh A. Benike, age 82, of Zumbro Falls, MN died on Friday, March 27, 2015, at his home. He was born on March 10, 1933, in Elgin, to Alfred and Iona (Cain) Benike. He graduated from Plainview High School. On November 3rd, 1956, he married Margaret Ek in White Bear Lake, MN. In 1965, Arleigh started Basement Water Control. His son, Scott joined him in 1984.He was a charter member of the Rochester Water Ski Club where he participated as a waterskiier, boat driver, past president and board member. He was a co-founder of the Zumbro Valley Snowmobile Club.He was a member of the Rochester Area Home Builders, Inc.Arleigh enjoyed countless hours of driving the boat on Lake Zumbro and was happiest when he was waterskiing. Arleigh is survived by his wife, Margaret; son, Scott (Katie) Benike of Rochester, MN; daughter, Luci (Kevin) Anderson of Stewartville, MN; and grandchildren, Cassidy, Miranda, Avery and Mya. Arleigh was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marvin, Robert and Harlan Benike; and granddaughter, Paige Olivia Benike.
