ROCHESTER Arleen L. Wehrs, 87, died on Monday, April 1, 2013 surrounded by her family at Sunrise Cottages in Rochester. Arleen was born in Farmington Township on June 23, 1925 to Elmer and Eva (Kitzman) Polikowsky.She was baptized June 5, 1927 and confirmed March 17, 1940.Arleen married Robert Wehrs on September 11, 1946 in Elgin, MN.She volunteered at Meals on Wheels and was a Ladies Aide member and Sunday School Teacher at Trinity Lutheran Church.Arleen enjoyed cards, dancing, and especially loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Arleen is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert; six children, Judith (Don) Ball, of Elba, MN, Roger Wehrs, of New Ulm, MN, Jerilyn Ramsey, of Claremore, OK, Janet (Charles) Zarling, of Rochester, Cynthia (Robert) Burmeister, of Tulsa, OK, and Charlene Smith, of Palmer, TX; six grandchildren, Chrissy, Timmy, Sammy, Angie, Michael, and Josh; and seven great grandchildren, Grace, Josh, Hope, Chloe, Ella, Jaci, and Jasmin. Arleen is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael; and a brother, Arleigh. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home with Chaplain Carol Shaffer officiating.Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Entombment will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be directed to the Alzheimer's Association. The family wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Sunrise Cottages.
