Ardis E. Hansen

Ardis E. Hansen, 85, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Cottagewood Senior Communities. Ardis was born April 7, 1931 in Madison, WI to Thomas and Anne (Brown) Evans. After high school Ardis went on to receive her nursing degree from Milwaukee Technical College in 1968. In 1975, Ardis also passed her Minnesota Board of Nursing. On November 5, 1955, Ardis married Warren Pat Hansen in Wisconsin. Ardis loved to golf, go dancing, trips to the State fair and to the racetrack. She enjoyed wearing beautiful clothing, going to lunch and being a diehard Packer fan. Ardis took great pride in being a nurse and finally retired at the age of 79. She was strong willed, had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful caretaker. Ardis is survived by her daughter, Kay (Tim) Tracy of Rochester; son, Tom (Jennifer) Buchberger of Maine; grandchildren, Brennen (BreAnna) Tracy, Valerie Tracy, Glen Buchberger, Evan (Larissa) Buchberger; great-grandson, Braylon and brother, John (Betty) Evans of Colorado. Ardis was preceded in death by her husband and sisters, Donna, Carol and JoAnn. The family would like to thank the staff at Cottagewood Senior Communities and Seasons Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Friday, October 7, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until the time of the service.
