Anthony "Tony" Koenig

ORONOCO, MINN: Anthony (Tony) James Koenig, 61, died on Monday, January 30, 2017, at home in rural Rochester. Tony was born on October 11th, 1955 to Ivan and Jean Koenig in Rochester, MN, Olmsted County. He graduated from John Marshall High School, Rochester, MN in 1971. He farmed in the Oronoco area with his father until 2001. He drove school bus for many years and was employed at St. Marys and the Mayo Clinic for many years. Tony was a Twins and Viking fan and enjoyed watching many sporting events. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing. Tony was a life long member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oronoco, MN. Tony is survived by his loving mother, Jean Koenig. He is survived by a host of cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Ivan Koenig and his grandparents, William and Melinda Koenig. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Oronoco Cemetery following fellowship after the service.
