Anne L. Stafford

Anne Lorraine Stafford of Pine Island, MN. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Pine Haven Care Center, surrounded by family and friends. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 9, 2017 at United Methodist Church in Pine Island, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association American Red Cross, or United Methodist Church of Pine Island. Anne was born on July 7, 1923 in Leonard, MN. She was the youngest of 11 children of Emmanuel and Mary Jane (Derby) Andrist. On November 7, 1942 she married Caryl Weis. They had two sons. Caryl passed away January 28, 1948. On September 17, 1949 she married Arnold Stafford. They had two sons. Arnold and Anne farmed most of their married life until moving into Pine Island in 2006. Anne sold Stanley Home Products for 40 years. She was an active member of United Methodist Church Pine Island where she served with the UMW group. She enjoyed playing piano and working in her flower gardens. She is survived by her children Raymond (Candy) Weis of Chatfield, David (Darlene) Stafford of Pine Island, Chris (Jeanne) Stafford of Stewartville and daughter-in-law Neletta (Ken) Harper of Rochester; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Anne was preceded in death by her husbands Caryl Weis and Arnold Stafford; a son Wayne Weis; her parents; seven brothers and three sisters. Burial will be at Pine Island Cemetery.
