Anne Elizabeth Klotz

Anne Elizabeth Klotz, age 86, of Rochester, MN, died Monday, September 5, 2011 at her residence in Rochester, Minnesota. Anne was born August 17, 1925 in Syracuse, New York to John & Katharine (Wright) Farrell.After high school, she attended business school. She married Raymond J. Klotz on October 1, 1949 in Syracuse, New York. They moved to Endicott, New York where Raymond worked for I.B.M.In 1967 they came to Rochester, Minnesota. She currently resided at Gramercy Park in Rochester.Anne was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Rochester.After raising her family, she volunteered for several years for Meals on Wheels and Elder Network. Besides enjoying spending time with her family, she enjoyed playing bridge, bowling and a good game of Scrabble. She was a huge sports fan. Her favorite teams were the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings. She rarely missed watching any of their games. Anne is survived by her children, Susan Sanchez (husband Peter) of San Francisco, CA; Raymond Klotz (wife Diane) of Brooklyn Park, MN; Patricia Ahlness (husband Jon) of Richfield, MN; Thomas Klotz (partner Connie) of Glasgow, MT; Robert Klotz (wife Fong) of San Jose, CA; Joanne Markham (husband Ron) of Rochester, MN; Theresa Dostal (husband Kevin) of Dodge Center, MN; William Klotz of Minneapolis, MN; Catherine Steen (husband Mark) of St. Anthony, MN; Ted Klotz of Minneapolis, MN; Mary Friend (husband David) of St. Anthony, MN; one sister, Mary Caporin of Syracuse, NY; Fourteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond on August 17, 1981; two brothers, Edward and John; and one grandson, David Markham. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home Rochester, MN with Reverend Paul Nelson officiating.A visitation will be held Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday, September 9, 2011.Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Rochester, MN.
