Rochester: Angeline J. (Tsichlia) Sageotis, 90, of Rochester, Minnesota, died May 20, 2010 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.Angeline was born in Divri, Elias, Greece on April 28, 1920 to Father John, an Orthodox priest, and Georgia (Roumeliotis) Tsichlias. After the German Occupation in 1944, the family moved to Patras, Greece. In 1956, Angeline immigrated to the United States and lived with her sister Dena Togas and family in Austin, Minnesota until her marriage to John Sageotis, of Rochester on February 15, 1959.Angeline worked as a cook for over 25 years at Michael's Restaurant, specializing in Greek pastries and is fondly remembered as the "Baklava Lady." She was an active member of the Holy Anargyroi Orthodox Church and Daughters of Penelope. Angeline was devoted to her Christian faith, and it defined her life. She enjoyed needlework, reading, cooking for friends and family, coffee socials with friends, watching game shows and movies on TV, and travel.Angeline is survived by her daughter Constantina "Tina" Sageotis, of Burnsville, MN and niece Angie (Pete) Chafos of Rochester. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews. Angeline is preceded in death by her husband John on July 30, 1961 and four brothers and two sisters. The funeral service for Angeline will be at 11:00 AM, Monday May 24, 2010 at Holy Anargyroi Greek Orthoodox Church (703 West Center Street, Rochester.) Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes.
