Alvin O. Rongley

Alvin O. Rongley, age 91, of Rochester, died on Monday, April 3, 2017, at Samaritan Bethany on 8th. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, April 7, 2017, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester MN 55901. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Alvin was born on April 15, 1925. He entered into the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. Alvin returned home to the Rochester area. On April 24, 1955, he married Rosalie Winters in Rochester and were married for over 37 years. Alvin worked at Townhouse in Rochester for 26 years as a chef. He liked fishing, country western music, and loved his dogs. Alvin is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Robert) Snyder of League City, TX and Brenda Hardy of Rochester; grandchildren, Heather Overturff, James (fiance Ann Jensen) Overturff; great-grandchildren, Robert, Romello and Damian. Alvin is preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie who died on June 11,1992; and his parents. Arrangements are with Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place, NW Rochester, MN 55901.
