Allan Junior Strelow, 91, of Rochester passed away on December 31, 2020 in his home surrounded by those he loved. Allan was born on January 17, 1929 in Stockton, MN to Leonard and Linda (Wilkins) Strelow. Allan graduated from Winona High School in 1947. He grew up working on the family farm and served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. He married Eunice Elaine Luedtke on June 17, 1955. The couple then moved to Rochester where Allan shared his love of auto mechanics by working at various car dealerships, owning a Ford Texaco station, and teaching future generations at Rochester Area Vocational and Technical Institute. After his retirement, Allan enjoyed working a variety of jobs to stay busy and spending time with his grandchildren. Allan's greatest joy was to have fun and help others; whether that be fixing friends and neighbors vehicles, skateboarding with the grandchildren, building and creating items for others, or spending countless hours playing outside with grandchildren and his beloved dog, Luna. Survivors include: three daughters, Michelle (John) Potter, Debra (Donald Martinson) Strelow and Stephanie (Rich) Behne; nine grandchildren, Megan Potter, Derek (Rainy) Potter, Cory Guenther, Britain (Renae) Bucknell, Kelsey (Kevin) Baertsch, Bayly Bucknell, Breeann Behne, Lindsay Behne and Charlie Strelow; seven great grandchildren, Lauren Guenther, Lane Guenther, Aaron Bucknell, Oaklen Baertsch, Morgan Bucknell, Radke Potter and Hannah Potter. Allan was preceded in death by: his parents, wife, Eunice, his one daughter, Tammi and one great grandson, Allan. The family will have a 1:00pm graveside service on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Calvary Cemetery in Rochester. Any memorials can be directed to Mayo Hospice.
