ALICE F. LEIF ROCHESTER, MINN. Alice F. Leif, 74, of Rochester, MN, formerly of Austin, MN, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, MN, following a one year battle with cancer. Alice Frances Klimek was born January 19, 1938, to Theodore and Margaret Klimek in Urbank, MN.A graduate of Austin Pacelli High School, Alice wed Robert Leif at St. Augustines Church in 1961.The couple raised four boys.Alice worked as a telephone operator and later as a secretary at Hormel and First Bank Austin.Following Bobs death in 1996, she moved to Rochester and most recently lived at Meadow Lakes. Alice enjoyed crocheting, cooking, reading, and doing the daily crossword puzzle. She is survived by her sons, Jon (Cindy) of Byron, MN, Jeff (Karen) of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Andy of New Ulm, MN, and Ted (Tamra) of Mound, MN; nine grandchildren; and her siblings, Leonard Klimek of Aurora, MN, Colleen (Bob) Bennett of Austin, MN, Ray (Betty) Klimek of New Ulm, MN, Ed Klimek of Austin, MN, Marilyn LaPree of Rochester, MN, Lucy Schmitz of Monticello, MN, Ted (Sue) Klimek of Lake Havasu, AZ, Marge (Jim) Maney of Rapid City, SD, and Tom Klimek of Cedar, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; and her parents. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m on Monday, December 3, 2012 at St. Augustine Church, 405 4th St NW, Austin, MN.Visitation will be an hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.Inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, MN.
