Alice E. Patzer, age 93, of Rochester, MN passed away peacefully at Arbor Garden Place Assisted Living in Eyota, MN. Alice Ella Patzer was born August 31, 1928 in Woodworth, North Dakota the youngest of six children to Rudolph and Theophila (Retzlaff) Peda. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School in Jamestown, North Dakota. She met her future husband, Oscar Patzer in Jamestown and they were married June 5, 1948. They resided in Valley City, ND, Fargo, ND, Minneapolis, MN then Rochester, MN in 1961 where Oscar served as the principal at Bamber Valley. Alice worked for Dayton's then St. Mary's Hospital as a unit secretary until her retirement. She was a longtime member of Resurrection Lutheran Church and served on the Ladies Aide. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Throughout the years she and Oscar traveled throughout the states and Germany. She is survived by her four children, Gary (Bonnie) Patzer of Green Valley, AZ, Naomi Austin of Oklahoma, Kathleen (Mike) Young of Rochester, MN, and Darla Clapper of Cape Coral, FL; daughter-in-law, Sue Patzer of Rochester, MN; twelve grandchildren, Jason (Erika) Patzer, Melissa, Bill, and Mike Austin, Ashley, Adam, Alex, and Paige Young, Andrea (Anthony) Williams, Travis Clapper, Ryan (Whitney) Clapper, and Lacey (Dan) Johnson; nine great grandchildren, Gabbie, Brady, Devin, Logan, Ashton, Tucker, Piper, Maverick, and Lyle; one great-great grandson, Emmett and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar Patzer; son, Kevin Patzer; five siblings, Edna Rewald, Amanda Zimmer, Emma Gust, Paul Peda and Ed Peda. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Resurrection Lutheran Church 5420 19th Ave. NW, Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester, MN.
