Alexander Odysseus Schuler, 38, of Rochester, MN died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 30th, 2015 in his home.Alexander was born March 1st, 1977, in Newton, MA, to Kelly McDonough and Brett Schuler.He moved to Vermont with his mother and step-father, Denis Chernyshov, as a child.Alexander attended Essex Junction High School.In 2005 Alexander moved to Rochester, MN and later attended Rochester Community Technical College.Alexander worked as a landscaper for Creative Curb Appeal.Alexander had many interests, which included hiking, rock-climbing, sailing, wood-working, and cooking.He treasured our many National Parks and spending time in the woods and mountains with his dogs.Alexander will be greatly missed by many.Survivors include his mother, Kelly McDonough; Step-Father, Denis Chernyshov; Sister, Katia Chernyshov; Beloved Partner, Kati Strande; dear Uncle, Tim Schuler, and many aunts, uncles, cousins; and his beloved dog, Beibhinn. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW., Rochester, MN 55901. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of the service.The Reverend Maddie Sifantus will be presiding. He will be privately interred at Pilot Mound Lutheran Cemetery, outside of Chatfield, MN.
