ROCHESTER, MN: Adeline R. Winkle, 91, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Samaritan Bethany Home on Eighth. Adeline was born August 20, 1921 to Joseph and Ella (Froyum) Rude in Wanamingo, MN. She was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wanamingo, where she was baptized and confirmed. She graduated from Wanamingo High School in June, 1939, and from Rochester Junior College as a medical secretary in June, 1941. She worked at the Mayo Clinic and in medical offices in Minneapolis, Oakland and San Francisco, CA. She married Van H. Winkle October 7, 1944, in Berkeley, CA while he was serving in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. In 1950 together with her husband established and operated the Rochester Restaurant Supply Company in Rochester until they retired in August, 1990. She was active at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester as a long time Sunday School teacher and member of the choir. She was also involved in the Twosome Couples Club and various women's groups and other choirs in Wanamingo and California. Adeline is survived by her husband, Van; daughter, Mary(William) Myers of Windermere, FL; sons David (Joy) Winkle of Rochester, Steven (Paige) Winkle of Hood River, OR; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Clem) Newbold, Anne (Greg) Dobrolecki, John Winkle, Mark (Sarah) Winkle, Janna Winkle, Matthew Winkle, Philip Winkle and great-grandchildren, Reagan, Jack, Buckley, Anne and Rebecca. Adeline was preceded in death by her mother and father; sister, Eleanor Rude Evans and her stepfather, Alex Anderson. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church 222 6th Ave. SW, Rochester, MN 55902. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until the time of service at the church. The Rev.
